After rising for three consecutive sessions, gold prices in Pakistan fell on Monday, mirroring a dip in international markets. In the local market, the price of gold per tola dropped by Rs600, settling at Rs271,900.
Likewise, the price of 10-gram gold decreased by Rs471, bringing it to Rs233,110, according to figures released by the All-Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Sarafa Association (APGJSA).
On Saturday, gold prices had seen an increase of Rs500, reaching Rs272,500.
Internationally, gold prices also took a hit on Monday. According to the APGJSA, the rate stood at $2,617 per ounce (with a premium of $20), reflecting a $5 decrease for the day.
Meanwhile, silver prices remained steady at Rs2,950 per tola.
Saturday marked a record high for gold in Pakistan, when prices reached Rs272,500 per tola.
