ISLAMABAD: Petrol prices in Pakistan are expected to increase from November 16, 2024, Saturday due to increase in global oil prices.

The government Pakistan is expected to increase the price of petrol by Rs2.5, while the high-speed diesel (HSD) may increase by Rs5.91.

Following the price increase, the per-litre cost of petrol in Pakistan may rise to Rs250.88, up from the previous rate of Rs248.38 set in the last review.

The price of HSD is expected to increase to Rs261.05 from Rs255.14.

Kerosene oil is expected to rise by Rs5.54 per litre, while the price of light diesel is anticipated to increase by Rs5.90.

The Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) will send a summary to the government, after which the new petrol prices for the second half of November will be announced on the night of November 15.

The new petrol prices in Pakistan will come into effect on November 16 across all major cities, including Lahore, Karachi, Islamabad, Peshawar, and Quetta.
