Gold prices in Pakistan surged by Rs1,400 per tola on Friday, hitting a new high of Rs263,500 following global market trends.

Moreover, the price of 10 grams of 24-karat gold also jumped by Rs1,200, reaching Rs225,908, as per the All-Pakistan Gems and Jewelers Sarafa Association (APGJSA).

Additionally, international gold prices climbed by $15, reaching $2,518 per ounce.

Meanwhile, local silver prices saw a rare drop, falling by Rs50 to Rs2,900 per tola.

Furthermore, the fluctuations in the local market are driven by international trends and domestic factors like currency exchange rates and demand.
