KARACHI: Gold prices in Pakistan surged on Monday, the first trading day, in line with their increase in the international market.
The All-Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Sarafa Association (APGJSA) reported that gold price per tola soared Rs282,900 after a single-day increase of Rs500 in the local market.
The 10-gram gold was sold at Rs242,541 after it registered an increase of Rs429, according to rates shared by the All-Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Sarafa Association (APGJSA).
The price of gold was also increased in the international market.
As per APGJSA, the rate was at $2,708 per ounce (with a premium of $20) after it gained $5 during the day.
