KARACHI: After a slight increase the previous day, gold prices in Pakistan experienced a significant drop on Thursday, in line with global market trends.

Locally, the price of 24-karat gold per tola decreased by Rs2,600, settling at Rs273,300, as per the All-Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Sarafa Association (APGJSA).

Similarly, the price of 10 grams of 24-karat gold fell by Rs2,229, reaching Rs234,311.

In the international market, gold also saw a notable decline of $26 on Thursday, dropping to $2,621 per ounce, with an additional premium of $20.

Additionally, the price of silver in the local market dropped by Rs50, settling at Rs3,350 per tola.
