KARACHI: After two consecutive days of increases, gold prices in Pakistan saw a significant drop on Saturday, aligning with global market trends.
Locally, the price of 24-karat gold per tola decreased by Rs1,200, settling at Rs275,700, as per the All-Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Sarafa Association (APGJSA).
Similarly, the price of 10 grams of 24-karat gold fell by Rs943, reaching Rs236,454.
In the international market, gold also saw a notable decline of $18 on Saturday, dropping to $2639 per ounce, with an additional premium of $20.
The price of silver per 10 grams remained the same at Rs2872.
It is worth noting that the price of one tola of gold had increased by Rs2200 on Friday.
