Gold prices in Pakistan continued their upward trajectory on Wednesday, driven by rising international rates.

Moreover, the price per tola increased by Rs2,500, reaching a new record of Rs275,500, while 10-gram gold jumped to Rs236,197, according to the All-Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Sarafa Association (APGJSA).

This marks a sharp rise from Tuesday when the price increased by Rs1,100 to Rs273,000 per tola. Gold surged to $2,653 per ounce globally, reflecting geopolitical tensions and higher demand from major markets like China and India.

In addition, silver prices also saw an increase, rising by Rs100 to Rs3,050 per tola.
