Gold prices in Pakistan fell sharply on Thursday, with the rate per tola dropping by Rs2,200 to Rs261,500, despite a rise in international gold prices.

Moreover, All-Pakistan Gems and Jewelers Sarafa Association (APGJSA) reported a decrease of Rs1,886 in the price of 10 grams of gold, bringing it to Rs224,194.

In contrast, global gold prices saw an increase, climbing to $2,516 per ounce with an additional premium of $20. This marked a $4 rise during the trading day, according to APGJSA.

Furthermore, silver prices in Pakistan remained unchanged, holding steady at Rs2,950 per tola. Local gold prices continue to be affected by global market trends, domestic currency fluctuations, and local demand.
