The price of gold in Pakistan reached a historic high of Rs 276,200 per tola on Friday, following an increase of Rs1,800.

According to the All Pakistan Gems and Jewelers Sarafa Association (APGJSA), the price of 10 grams of gold rose by Rs1,54 reaching Rs236,797.

The price of silver remained stable at Rs3,500 per tola.

Increase in international market

On Friday, gold prices in Pakistan increased after a decline in the previous session, coinciding with a rise in the global market. Local jewellery markets reflected this trend.

The increase in gold prices follows four consecutive days of decline.
