KARACHI: The gold price in Pakistan increased on Saturday, following the upward trend in international markets.
According to data from the All-Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Sarafa Association (APGJSA), the price of 24-karat gold per tola rose by RS2,200, reaching RS282,700.
The price for 10 grams of 24-karat gold also saw a substantial increase of RS1,857, bringing it to RS242,370.
In the international market, gold prices surged by $22 on Saturday, with the price per ounce hitting $2,715, along with an additional premium of $20.
The rise in gold prices was mirrored in silver as well, with the price per tola climbing by RS200, reaching RS3,450 in the local market.
These developments reflect a broader trend in the global commodities market, which has been influencing the rising value of silver.
