KARACHI: The price of gold in Pakistan on Tuesday dropped to Rs270,500 per tola in Pakistan, on the second trading day of the week.

According to data issued by the All-Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Sarafa Association (APGJSA), the price of 24-Karat gold fell by Rs7,000 per tola.

The price of 10 gramme of gold alo dropped by Rs6,000 settling at Rs231,911.

Silver prices also dropped today, the price of 24-karat silver dropped by Rs50 to Rs3,250 a tola, while the price of ten-gramme silver dropped by Rs43 to Rs2,786.

In recent weeks, gold prices have seen a record increase due to rising demand for safe assets.
