WEB DESK: In a significant move to ease economic pressures, the Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has announced substantial reductions in fuel prices coinciding with the Eid celebrations.

The price of petrol has been slashed by 10 rupees 20 paise per litre, while diesel prices have been reduced by 2 rupees 33 paise per litre.

This follows an earlier reduction on June 1, when the government lowered petrol prices by 4 rupees 74 paise and diesel prices by 3 rupees 86 paise per litre. Cumulatively, the public has received a total relief of 35 rupees per litre on petrol so far.

This latest announcement comes shortly after the government made electricity cheaper for industries, indicating a broader strategy to support economic stability and reduce the cost of living.
