The continuous rise in chicken meat prices persists, with a Rs.150 increase over the week, bringing the price to Rs. 800 per kg.
According to the Karachi Commissioner’s rate list, the price of chicken meat is listed at Rs.620 per kg.
However, shopkeepers say it is not feasible to sell meat at the rates set by the Karachi Commissioner, as farmers are increasing the prices. Meanwhile, chicken prices in Lahore have also not come down, with the price reaching Rs.590 per kg in the city.
Additionally, inflation in the provincial capital Lahore has not decreased, with many vegetables, including onions and tomatoes, becoming more expensive. The official rate for onions is set at Rs. 130 per kg, but they are being sold at Rs.150 per kg in the market.

The official rate for tomatoes is Rs.125 per kg, but they are being sold at Rs. 150 per kg in the market. The official rate for potatoes has been increased by Rs.2 to Rs.90 per kg. Similarly, potatoes are being sold for up to Rs.110 per kg. The report stated that garlic is being sold at Rs.600 per kg instead of Rs.415 per kg.
Ginger is being sold at Rs.800 per kg instead of Rs.615 per kg. The official rate for cabbage is Rs.190 per kg, but it is being sold at Rs.250 per kg in the market. Cauliflower is being sold at Rs.200 per kg instead of Rs.160.
