The Mahandri Bridge has collapsed due to a landslide, leading to significant disruptions in traffic in northern side of Pakistan.
This critical infrastructure failure has caused a major blockage on the route from Balakot to Kaghan and Naran which has severely impacted travel and transport for the locals and tourists.
According to the news, the district administration has issued a Mayday call and warned tourists to leave Naran as more floods and rains could cut off the entire Kaghan Valley with rest of the country,

The locals have raised slogans against the district administration, the National Highway Authority and Kaghan Development Authority, and demanded that the Pakistan Army intervene and rebuild the bridge at the stream and rescue the families still stranded in the area.
Currently, northern Pakistan is facing numerous difficulties due to intense rainfall, which has resulted in widespread flash flooding. The authorities are advising tourists against travelling north, as the weather conditions is likely to escalate.
