Climate Change has impacted the usual weather patterns changing nature and unleashing consequences. Karachi recorded a sharp temperature rise on Sunday 16 February as the sea breezes resumed. As per the weather predictions, the temperature is further expected to reach up to 34° degrees centigrade on Monday and Tuesday consecutively.
It is noted that the end of northwestern winds and the onset of sea breezes have led to this increase in temperatures significantly in days and nights, respectively.
For a few years, it has become a phenomenon that weather in Karachi witnessed summer-like temperatures right after a brief season of chilly winters. The minimum temperature on Sunday was recorded at 19.6° C, while the maximum temperature was 32.4° C with an increase of one degree.
The Meteorological Department’s Early Warning Center stated that the weather in Karachi will be relatively warm during the day, specifically on Monday and Tuesday, with maximum temperatures potentially reaching 34° C depicting that the summers are here skipping the spring season in Karachi.
As per the AccuWeather Karachi will witness a sunny and hot day on the first day of the week with partly cloudy nights. On Tuesday it will be mostly sunny and warm with cloudy and warm nights. Wednesday will see a hazy sun and will be breezy in the afternoon while the night is likely to be clear. Thursday is expected to be hazy, warm, and less humid and night will be clear. Friday would welcome hazy sun and as usual a very warm noon with a mostly clear night. Saturday is sunlit and very warm as per the predictions while Sunday will maintain the status of being very warm with chunks of clouds and sun with a cloudy night. The Air Quality Index (AQI) will reportedly be moderate for the natives but for people with breathing issues might feel it difficult to breathe because of the smoke and usual pollution in the metropolitan city Karachi.
