Lollywood actor Babrik Shah recently revealed that he was once offered the opportunity to settle in India, but he could never imagine living there.

In an interview, Shah recounted his experience from 2006 when he travelled to India. Despite the offers from Indians to make the country his home, Shah felt that living in India was out of the question for him.

He explained that his reluctance was not rooted in animosity towards Indians but stemmed from his perception of the country as a dirty place, with unappealing food, unsanitary conditions, and the constant threat of mob violence. These factors, Shah emphasised, made it impossible for him to consider settling there.

Shah also shared his thoughts on Pakistani artists working in India, particularly with Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan. He expressed skepticism about the notion that working with Indian stars could elevate one’s career, suggesting that there is no true merit in such collaborations.

He further highlighted the achievements of Pakistan’s legendary artists, such as Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan and Noor Jahan, who gained international fame independently, eventually being invited to Hollywood on the strength of their own talents.
