Maddock Films has announced the addition of Thama, a supernatural thriller with a unique blend of horror and romance, to its growing horror-comedy universe.
The film’s title announcement, accompanied by a snippet from Arijit Singh, hints at a dark, “bloody” love story at the heart of Thama, described in the announcement as: “Dinesh Vijan’s Horror Comedy Universe needed a love story… unfortunately, it’s a bloody one.”
The film, featuring Ayushmann Khurrana, Rashmika Mandanna, Nawazuddin Siddiqui, and Paresh Rawal, is scheduled for a Diwali 2025 release. Directed by Aditya Sarpotdar, known for his work on Munjya, Thama promises to add yet another unique twist to Dinesh Vijan’s horror-comedy series.

The horror-comedy multiverse from Maddock Films already includes popular titles such as Stree, Stree 2, Bhediya, and Munjya, all featuring an array of supernatural entities like chudails, wolves, and headless spirits. Thama is expected to expand the universe by introducing vampires, opening up possibilities for crossovers between supernatural beings in a shared cinematic realm.
With both Bhediya 2 and Stree 3 also in the pipeline, Maddock Films is building momentum toward a fully interconnected horror-comedy multiverse. However, given the six-year gap between Stree and Stree 2, Stree 3 may not release for several years, allowing ample time for Thama and Bhediya 2 to weave new plotlines and lay the foundation for future collaborations within this growing universe.
Here’s the first look.
