Australian cricketer Usman Khawaja recently shared his thoughts on the current state of the Pakistan Cricket Team, highlighting the immense talent within the squad but also pointing out that a lack of stability is proving detrimental to their performance.
“From the outside, it seems like everything is constantly changing within the Pakistan cricket team. Selection committee members, staff, and players keep changing,” Khawaja remarked at an event in Melbourne
Khawaja also came to the defense of Pakistan’s captain, Babar Azam, stating, “It’s Babar Azam’s decision to captain. If he believes he can, he should continue to do so.”

This support comes in the wake of Pakistan’s recent struggles in T20 World Cup, where they lost to both the USA and India despite being in commanding positions during the matches.
These defeats prevented Pakistan from qualifying for the Super 8 stage of the event, leading to widespread criticism of Azam’s captaincy abilities.
Looking ahead, Pakistan’s next challenge is a two-match Test series against Bangladesh at home in August.
