ATTOCK: According to the notification, a ban on inter-district and inter-provincial livestock transport has been imposed in Attock for 7 days following the report of the Cango virus cases.

Deputy Commissioner Attock stated that strict surveillance of livestock markets will be carried out ahead of Eid-ul-Adha.

After the emergence of new Congo virus cases, the Punjab Health Department has decided to send a special team of 9 doctors to Attock.

The special team of doctors from the Punjab Health Department will investigate the reasons for the spread of the Congo virus in Attock.

Furthermore, the team of doctors will also assess the measures taken by the Livestock Department to control the spread of Congo fever.

Two fatalities and one patient under treatment due to the Congo virus have been reported at Rawalpindi’s Benazir Hospital today, according to hospital sources.

According to the hospital, three patients affected by the Congo virus were brought from Attock last month. Dr. Janid confirmed that it is a deadly virus, with only 10 per cent chance of survival.
