Following the incident, police and rescue teams swiftly mobilised to the scene, launching a search operation to locate any survivors and provide assistance.

The tragic event echoes a similar catastrophe that struck earlier on March 5, when a fishing boat carrying approximately 50 fishermen capsized in the Arabian Sea near Thatta, as reported by the Fisher Folk Forum.

According to the Coastal Media Centre spokesperson, the fishing boat met its fate in the deep waters of the Arabian Sea, sinking in the Hajamro Creek between Karachi and Thatta.
