National Hero Arshad Nadeem Honored at Prime Minister House
National hero Arshad Nadeem has arrived at the Prime Minister House on the invitation of Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif, where a grand ceremony has been organized in his honor.
Upon his arrival, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif personally welcomed Nadeem, draped him with a garland, and escorted him into the ceremony.
Earlier, Pakistan’s renowned Olympic javelin thrower Arshad Nadeem arrived at a hotel in Islamabad under full government protocol and security.
To welcome Arshad Nadeem, Punjabi dhol music was arranged at the hotel. Upon hearing the news of his arrival, hotel staff and guests rushed to the lobby, eager to catch a glimpse of Nadeem.
The Athletics Federation has made a major announcement for Arshad Nadeem in recognition of his gold medal win.
Olympic gold medalist Arshad Nadeem will also participate in the central Independence Day celebrations.
Federal Minister for Information Atta Tarar announced in a press conference that the Prime Minister and Arshad Nadeem will jointly hoist the flag. He mentioned that Arshad Nadeem is a national hero, and the Ministry of Information has been directed to make a film about him.
It is noteworthy that Arshad Nadeem won the gold medal for Pakistan in the Olympic javelin throw on August 10 in France.
PM announces 15 crores for national hero Arshad Nadeem
The Prime Minister announced a prize of 150 million rupees for Arshad Nadeem in recognition of his outstanding performance at the Paris Olympics, winning the gold medal, and setting an Olympic record.
The Prime Minister announced the establishment of the Arshad Nadeem High-Performance Academy at Jinnah Stadium in Islamabad for the training of youth in sports. This academy will prepare athletes and players for the 2028 Olympics by providing comprehensive training.
Additionally, the Prime Minister announced a 1 billion rupee Sports Endowment Fund to support athletes’ welfare, meet the needs of retired athletes, and provide excellent training opportunities.
