Following Sindh’s decision to extend summer vacations for schools, students across Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa are eagerly awaiting updates on their own school schedules.
In Punjab, schools closed on May 25 due to a heatwave, with the summer break originally planned from June 1 to August 14. The Punjab Education Department currently has no plans to extend the holidays, and schools are set to reopen on August 15, 2024, although this could change depending on weather conditions.
In Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, students and parents are also watching for any announcements about potential extensions, as the region has experienced similar weather issues.

Sindh, on the other hand, has extended its summer break until August 14 due to continuing heatwaves and expected heavy rains, with schools resuming on August 15 and special activities planned for Independence Day.
