Apple is expected to launch a smart home device in 2025 with a hemispherical base and a small angled screen, echoing the iconic G4 iMac design.

Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman notes the device will be more compact than initially expected, with a display roughly the size of two iPhones placed side by side.

Further reports suggested the Cupertino-based tech giant might be attempting to reduce the price by developing small devices, letting users scatter several units of them in different places of the house.

The smart home device is expected to run several iPad-like apps that are substantially perfect for its intended usage like FaceTime, Notes, and Calendar. Moreover, it will serve as a hub for smart home controls, and display media slideshows.

Gurman also said it’s “likely” that the base of the device will include speakers, allowing it to function like a HomePod.

In addition to this initial smart home device, Gurman previously hinted at the release of a more ambitious product featuring a large screen anchored to a robotic arm that identifies users and follows them around the room.

And will be able to automatically track the movement. This high-end product is expected to cost around $1,000 and is likely to be released in 2026.۔
