Another Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) party member has come forward with a resignation in hand. This time, it is Member of National Assembly (MNA) Junaid Akbar.
Junaid Akbar has resigned from the party’s core committee, alleging that “certain people” are permitted to meet the PTI founder, while he and others are not allowed such access.
His resignation adds to the growing turmoil within the party, coming just a day after the Leader of the Opposition in the National Assembly, Omar Ayub, stepped down as PTI’s secretary general—a resignation the party did not accept.

Akbar expressed his frustration, stating that he has no influence over party decisions and cannot meet the PTI founder, who is currently incarcerated in Adiala Jail.
“PTI is my home, and I am neither a part of any group nor will I be in the future,” Akbar declared
