ISLAMABAD: In a major operation, the Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) has dismantled a drug-peddling racket involved in supplying illegal substances to students at a prominent educational institution in Islamabad.

Confirming the development, a spokesman from ANF Headquarters disclosed that two suspects, including a woman, have been apprehended in connection with the operation.

The crackdown was initiated following a tip-off indicating the involvement of a woman in delivering drugs to the educational facility.

The ANF intercepted the woman at the institution’s entrance, where she was found carrying illicit substances.

Further investigation revealed that one of the arrested suspects, employed at the institution’s canteen, was potentially aiding in the distribution of drugs to students.

Upon searching the male suspect’s residence, ANF uncovered a significant quantity of hashish, opium, and additional tokens of ice (crystal meth).

The female suspect is believed to have smuggled drugs from Peshawar, which she then supplied to her accomplice in Islamabad. The male suspect confessed to selling the drugs to university students.

Both suspects, hailing from Nowshera and Mansehra respectively, have been charged under the Anti-Narcotics Act, with ANF conducting further investigations into the case.
