Bollywood superstar Akshay Kumar has officially dispelled the persistent rumors regarding his anticipated cameo in the upcoming horror-comedy Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3.
Speculation had been rampant that Kumar would join an ensemble cast featuring Kartik Aaryan, Vidya Balan, Madhuri Dixit, and Triptii Dimri, creating a buzz among fans eager for his return. However, the actor has unequivocally refuted these claims.
During the promotional events for his film Khel Khel Mein in August, Kumar asserted that the rumors were unfounded, labeling them as “fake news.” He emphatically stated, “No, absolutely not. It’s fake news,” effectively quelling any further speculation about his involvement in the much-anticipated project.
Speculation fueled by recent cameo in Stree 2
The conjecture regarding Kumar’s potential return to the Bhool Bhulaiyaa franchise intensified following his cameo in Stree 2. His electrifying appearance in the film, particularly during the post-credits scene directed by Amar Kaushik, ignited a social media frenzy and delighted fans, further fueling assumptions that he might also reprise his role in Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3.
Despite the excitement generated by his cameo, Kumar’s recent box office performances have not been as favorable as anticipated. Nevertheless, he remains optimistic about his career, expressing his commitment to continue working until he reconnects with audiences.

The ongoing phase in his career likely contributed to the increased interest in his possible participation in Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3, which could offer a much-needed boost to his box office appeal.
In addition to Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3, Akshay Kumar is set to appear in Singham Again as Sooryavanshi, further showcasing his versatility in the film industry.
As for Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3, fans can expect the return of Vidya Balan, known for her portrayal of the iconic character Manjulika in the original film; however, it remains uncertain whether she will reprise her role. The film will also introduce new cast members, including Madhuri Dixit and Triptii Dimri, generating fresh excitement for the franchise.
