Islamabad police recently carried out a raid on the Parliament Lodges apartment of Sardar Akhtar Mengal, the head of the Balochistan National Party (BNP-Mengal). During the raid, BNP acting president Sajid Tareen was present at the lodges.
Following the raid, Akhtar Mengal made a public statement alleging that a party senator had been abducted. He claimed that Senator Kazim Rind, along with his son, was taken while undergoing dialysis in Islamabad. Additionally, Mengal asserted that Senator Naseema Ehsan was confined to her apartment and that her son had also been abducted.

These incidents come at a time when the government is preparing to introduce a constitutional amendment concerning judicial reforms. Sessions of both the National Assembly and Senate have been convened for this purpose.
Meanwhile, the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) party has raised accusations against the government, alleging that members of parliament were being offered significant incentives to support the amendment. The PTI has vowed to oppose the proposed reforms by any means necessary.
