Famous Pakistani singer Abrar-ul-Haq has awarded Rs1.5 million in cash to Olympic gold medalist Arshad Nadeem, in a ceremony held at Haq’s residence in Lahore.
The event was organised to honour Nadeem’s remarkable achievements in athletics, with Haq lauding the Olympian for bringing immense pride to the nation. “Arshad Nadeem has filled our hearts with joy,” Abrar remarked during the ceremony.
Additionally, Abrar-ul-Haq announced that the grounds of Sahara For Life Medical College will be named in tribute to Arshad , acknowledging his significant contributions to Pakistani sports.

Nadeem, who recently received the Hilal-e-Imtiaz award from President Zardari, reaffirmed his commitment to elevating Pakistan’s international standing. He emphasized that nurturing and supporting talent is crucial for enhancing the country’s global reputation.
Arshad Nadeem, a javelin thrower, is celebrated for his outstanding performance at the 2024 Paris Olympics, where he secured a gold medal. His achievements continue to inspire and promote Pakistan’s sports excellence on the world stage.
