The government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) has decided to start a helicopter service for local and foreign tourists in the province.

According to Zahid Chanzeb, Tourism Advisor of KP, the provincial government’s initial plans involve launching helicopter service from tourist spots in Chitral. He added that the service will be expanded to the rest of the province later on.

In a separate news, the KP government has also inaugurated the Nathia Gali Elite Adventure Theme Park. It is equipped with eight outdoor and 40 indoor tourist facilities, including zip-lining, sky-cycling, free-fall jump, wall climbing, rippling, 360 cycling tracks, air-gun, archery, dodging cars, basketball, softball, play area for children, computer games and others.

Zahid Chanzeb stated that the authorities are trying their best to provide best facilities to the tourists.

Earlier, Advisor to the Chief Minister had announced a ban on the free accommodation provided to VIPs and their families in government rest houses managed by the Department of Tourism and Culture and Tourism Authorities.

The decision was taken after several complaints from the common citizens regarding the unavailability of accommodation in government rest houses. The tourists complained that the VIPs stay at the rest houses for free for extended periods without paying any fees.
