The International Cricket Council (ICC) has reportedly given the Indian team a favourable time slot for their potential semi-final match in the upcoming T20 World Cup.

According to ESPN Cricinfo, if Rohit Sharma’s team reaches the semi-finals, they will play the second match scheduled in Providence, Guyana. This is significant because the two semi-finals have vastly different start times.

The first semi-final in Tarouba, Trinidad, starts at 8:30 pm local time, which is 6:00 am in India. This early morning slot would be challenging for Indian fans to watch.

In contrast, the second semi-final, which India might play, starts at 10:30 am local time, or 8:00 pm in India. This prime-time slot is ideal for Indian viewers and is likely to boost viewership for the match.

The tournament, co-hosted by the United States and West Indies, begins on June 1st. India, placed in Group A with arch-rivals Pakistan, will play their group stage matches.
