Saudi Arabian authorities have introduced huge fines for individuals who enter the holy city of Makkah without a Hajj permit.

According to details, the Saudi Ministry of Interior has decided to impose 10,000 riyals fine on anyone who is caught entering Makkah without a Hajj permit from June 2 until June 20.

The Saudi authorities specified that individuals found without permit in the holy city of Makkah, the Central Haram Area, the Holy Sites of Mina, Arafat and Muzdalifah, the Haramain train station in Rusayfah, security control centers, Hajj grouping centers and temporary security control centers will have to pay the heavy fine.

As per the Ministry of Interior, fines will be imposed on every violator without any discrimination, including Saudi citizens, expatriates and visitors. Saudi Arabia has decided that expatriates who violate regulations will be deported to their country and a ban on reentering the Kingdom will be imposed on them in accordance with the periods specified by law.

Furthermore, violating the regulations regarding entering Makkah without a Hajj permit more than once would result in a double fine. Earlier, the ministry had announced imprisonment and a huge fine for those transporting violators of Hajj regulations.
