ISLAMABAD: The Rawalpindi Oil Tanker Owners Association has ceased the supply of petrol and diesel, potentially causing inconvenience to residents of Islamabad and Rawalpindi today.
The halt in supply affects regions including airports, Rawalpindi, Islamabad, Gilgit, and Azad Kashmir.
The association asserts that supply will remain suspended until their demands are met. Despite issuing notices to PSO officials and the Islamabad DC, they have not received a response.
They insist on immediate compliance with their demands for filling under the metered system. Allegedly, the district administration and officials have violated the February 20 agreement. Supply will remain disrupted until their demands are addressed.
The association claims that tankers are being filled with less petrol and diesel, resulting in losses for tanker owners and consumers. They have reportedly informed OGRA and the Ministry of Petroleum multiple times about this issue.
