Mohammad Rizwan praises Kiwis

Mohammad Rizwan said that “although the surface had presented some early difficulties for the players, New Zealand’s best batters had given outstanding performance.” He also praised Kane Williamson and Mitchell Santner for their outstanding performance.

Mitchell Santner, the captain of New Zealand, also offered his opinions on the game pointing out that they were hoping for a total of perhaps 280 to 300 runs at one stage. But Glenn Phillips’ extraordinary batting performance changed the tide, and his contributions turned the game around.

Santner said, “We now concentrate on the forthcoming games in Karachi. We are eager to keep the momentum from this victory running forward.”

New Zealand set a strong target in the game that Pakistan could not pursue, so they lost by 78 runs. Pakistan is on the backfoot following their loss in the first Tri-Nation Series match as they are now getting ready for their next test in Karachi.
