WEBDESK: Famous model and actress Mathira has publicly criticised social media personality Chahat Fateh Ali Khan for filming and sharing a video without her consent.
In her statement, Mathira expressed discomfort, saying that she is not someone who hugs people in such a manner. She stressed that sharing the video crossed personal boundaries and was inappropriate.
Mathira further said, “Being bold doesn’t mean anyone can hug me or touch me without my permission. These actions are completely unacceptable and violate my personal boundaries.”
Mathira clarified that the now-viral video was not recorded by the cameras of her show but was filmed at an odd angle by Chahat himself. She said that she respects her guests and treats them kindly, but this incident broke her trust.
According to Mathira, the video was shared by Chahat Fateh Ali Khan on his social media without her consent.
According to Mathira, Chahat promised to delete the video, but it has neither been taken down nor has any apology been issued. This has left Mathira disappointed, as she believes some people resort to such actions just to gain fame.
In her statement, Mathira reminded her fans to respect her personal space, urging them not to try hugging or shaking hands with her if they see her in public.
The video in question, which shows Chahat hugging Mathira and placing his hand on her back, has gone viral on social media. Mathira has expressed her frustration over this and called for more respect and understanding of personal limits.
