WEBDESK: The Oil and Gas Development Company Limited (OGDCL) has announced discoveries of oil and gas reserves in Punjab and Sindh, bringing positive news for the economy.
According to a report, OGDCL shared detailed findings with the Pakistan Stock Exchange. In a statement, the company revealed that modern technology, specifically multi-physiochemical stimulation, was used for the first time in Hyderabad’s Pashaki Oil Field. This advancement increased crude oil production from 375 barrels per day to 520 barrels per day, marking a rise of 145 barrels daily.
In Rahim Yar Khan, OGDCL also discovered gas reserves in the Mari East Field. The company said that approximately 2 MMSCFD (Million Standard Cubic Feet per Day) of gas is being supplied to Engro Fertilizers through a 14.5 km pipeline.
