Following the attack, Barrister Saif said that the convoy would be sent once the conditions were back to normal.

The district administration said in a statement that he got minor injuries in the shooting and was taken to the Alizai hospital in Lower Kurram The incident occurred days after rival tribes in the Lower Kurram agreed to restore peace and end the 86-day-long road blockade of the restive region.

Condemning the attack, KP Chief Secretary Nadeem Aslam Chaudhry said that the peace committees were responsible for ensuring the protection of the convoy.
