FAISALABAD: A shocking incident has come to light in the vicinity of Mamo Kanjan, Faisalabad, where a domestic quarrel took a grim turn, resulting in the death of four livestock animals worth over Rs1.2 million.

Zafar Iqbal, the owner of the livestock, accused his wife of poisoning three buffaloes and one cow during an argument. The dispute reportedly stemmed from financial disagreements, as Iqbal’s wife allegedly wanted to sell the livestock to support her children from a previous marriage. In his statement to the police, Iqbal claimed that the conflict escalated, leading his wife to commit this drastic act.

The woman, whose identity has not been disclosed, is said to have fled the scene following the incident. The police have registered a case and initiated an investigation.

This bizarre and distressing episode highlights the extreme consequences of unresolved domestic disputes, drawing attention to the need for mediation and legal recourse in such situations.
