ISLAMBAD: Senior Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leader Siddique ul Farooq passed away in Islamabad on Sunday.
Aaj TV cited family sources reported that Siddique ul Farooq was ill for a long time and was suffering from kidney disease.
Siddique ul Farooq remained Chairman of the Evacuee Trust Property Board during the government of former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif. He also served as Information Secretary of the PMLN.
Recently, representing Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, Parliamentary Party Leader in the Senate Irfan Siddiq visited the house of Siddiq-ul-Farooq to inquire after the health of the party stalwart leader.
Irfan Siddiq, while presenting a bouquet to Siddiq-ul-Farooq on behalf of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, said that the Prime Minister is concerned about his health. He has been directed to provide all possible facilities for his treatment.
His funeral prayers will be offered in Islamabad on Monday.
His Ali Farooq was passed away after suffering heart failure in October 2016. He was 26.
