ISLAMABAD: The petrol price is expected to increase in the country with effect from Dec16 for next fortnight.
According to local media reports, a slight increase of Re0.81 per litre has been proposed on petrol prices and a moderate decrease of Rs 3.94 per litre in diesel prices on card.
Such revisions are due to the first 12 days of the existing fortnight and have further implications and factors worldwide on price volatility in the markets for petroleum products.
New prices to take effect from Dec 16 after govt notification
As per the 12 days working, the price of petrol may settle from December 16 at Rs252.92 per litre after an increase in its price by Re0.81 per litre. While Diesel might come down by Rs3.94 per litre to Rs254.53 from the existing price of Rs258.43 per litre.
Earlier on December 1, the government had increased the price of petrol by Rs3.72 per litre and the price of high-speed diesel (HSD) was increased from Rs255.14 per litre to Rs258.43, a rise of Rs3.29.
