ISLAMABAD: Former Pakistan Tehreek-I-Insaaf (PTI) leader Fayyaz ul Hassan Chohan claimed that PTI Chief Imran Khan sought political support from Donald Trump.
In the recent episode of Azaadcast hosted by Dr Farhan Virk, Fayyaz shared that Imran Khan tried efforts to align with Trump through connections like Zac Goldsmith and former wife Jemima Goldsmith.
“Former premier had high hopes from securing political support from Trump,” he said.

Chohan further revealed that, according to his information, Imran’s cousin Shahid Burki and close associate Zulfi Bukhari were tasked with obtaining a public tweet from Donald Trump in favour of Imran Khan.
However, Chohan said Trump firmly rejected their request, commenting that Imran lacked diplomatic etiquette.

Chohan further claimed that the former US president said that a global Jewish lobby had previously told him that Imran Khan worked for their interests. “Trump said that among other tasks, they had assigned Khan a task for ‘dealing’ Kashmir with India,” he added.
As per Chohan, Trump reportedly said that in 2019, the US had offered to mediate in the Kashmir issue. However, as of now, Trump has expressed no interest in Imran Khan, dismissing him as insignificant.
