ISLAMABAD: Unidentified individuals shattered three window panes of a metro feeder route bus near Bari Islamabad’s Bari Imam shrine on Friday by pelting it with stones, causing panic among passengers.
According to sources, the Capital Development Authority-operated FR-4 bus (registration number EV-075) was travelling from Bari Imam to the Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences (PIMS). The CDA acknowledged the incident and revealed that similar stone-pelting episodes targeting metro buses have occurred in the past. “We are in the process of registering an FIR regarding this incident. It is suspected that some rowdy youth from the area might be responsible,” a CDA official said.
Authorities highlighted that the matter is being taken seriously, with a call for a thorough investigation to identify and apprehend those involved. “We cannot afford to ignore such acts, as they pose risks to public safety,” the official added.
