LAHORE: Former Test cricketer Aqib Javed is likely to be appointed as the permanent head coach of the white-ball teams.
The national ODI and ODI teams head coach Gary Kirsten resigned last month due to a dispute with the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB).
Aqib Javed may take over the new role before the national team’s upcoming tour of Zimbabwe.
Currently, former cricketer is working as Convener of Selection Committee.
He has been serving as part of the selection committee during the England Test series.

On October 28, Gary Kirsten resigned as head coach of the white-ball teams ahead of the Australia tour for ODI and T20I series.
Following his resignation, the PCB handed over the responsibility to Jason Gillespie, who is currently heading the red-ball team coaching.
