ISLAMABAD: The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has introduced ePayment 2.0, a new integrated system to make paying taxes in Pakistan easier.
This new system combines payments for withholding tax, income tax, sales tax, and federal excise duty into a single platform.
The ePayment 2.0 system is a significant step towards modernizing Pakistan’s tax system and is available on the IRIS 2.0 portal.
This new system offers users an easy-to-use interface, allowing them to make payments through Internet banking, ATMs, and mobile banking. After a payment is made, taxpayers will receive a computerized payment receipt (CPR) via email and SMS for confirmation.
According to FBR, this change eliminates the need for multiple logins and platforms, making the process more convenient for taxpayers. The FBR is committed to providing better services and promoting a more digitally advanced Pakistan, ensuring easier access to tax-related services for all.
