Pakistani former cricketer and coach Mohammad Hafeez shared a tweet saying that Pakistan is safe and ready to host the International Cricket Council (ICC) Champions Trophy event.
Mohammad Hafeez shared a tweet in which he expressed that it was his day dream for him that India will come to Pakistan to play champion trophy 2025.
In his tweet, he said, “It was wishful thinking that India would come to Pakistan to play the Champions Trophy 2025. Pakistan is safe and ready to host the event. We’re hosting all cricketing nations here, but somehow it’s not secure for India. Waiting for a strong and surprising response from the government.”
For the first time ever, Pakistan is gearing up to host the ICC Champions Trophy in February 2025. The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) is excited about this historic opportunity, as hosting this major international tournament marks a significant milestone for Pakistani cricket.
However, India has expressed concerns about participating in the event, citing security reasons. The Indian government has reportedly declined to send its team to Pakistan, disappointing cricket fans on both sides.
PCB is considering suggesting the ICC to hold the Champions Trophy without India if it refuses to play in Pakistan. Some media reports also suggest that Pakistan will boycott playing against India in all tournaments if India does not come to Pakistan.
