The two new films—Ajay Devgn’s Singham Again and Kartik Aaryan’s Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3—both crossed the RS100 crore mark over the Diwali weekend, becoming the 103rd and 104th films to surpass RS100 crore at the box office.

Both of these films joined Bollywood’s RS100 crore club, which started with Aamir Khan’s Ghajini in 2008. The club has seen rapid growth, with over 100 films reaching this milestone in the past 16 years.

Diwali has long been an advantageous time for film releases, and 2023 proved the same. Both films, despite their contrasting genres—Singham Again being an action-packed blockbuster and Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 a horror-comedy—attracted huge audiences.

According to pinkvilla , Singham Again earned approximately RS111 crore in its opening weekend, while Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 reached around RS100 crore, marking Kartik Aaryan’s biggest opening ever.

Interestingly, the record for the biggest Diwali box office clash was previously held by Aamir Khan’s Secret Superstar and Ajay Devgn’s Golmaal Again, which released on October 20, 2017. Together, these films achieved massive box office collections. However, after 2,574 days, this record has finally been broken by the success of Singham Again and Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3.

In Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 apart from Kartik, the film also stars Madhuri Dixit and Triptii Dimri. But one of its biggest draws has been the return of Vidya Balan, who starred in part 1, released in 2007. On the other hand in Singham Again Singham Again is part of Rohit Shetty’s larger Cop Universe, which also includes Simmba and Sooryavanshi, starring Ranveer Singh and Akshay Kumar. Salman Khan also makes a cameo as Chulbul Pandey, his iconic character from Dabangg, in the film.
