Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Founder Imran Khan’s sister, Aleema Khan has alleged that her brother is being mentally tortured in the Adiala jail in Rawalpindi.
“There may not have been physical torture, but the mental pressure is clear,” she said.
What else did she say?
Speaking to the media outside Adiala Jail with Imran Khan’s lawyer, Salman Akram Raja, Aleema shared that the doctor had examined Imran and found him stable, though he had visibly lost body mass.
Aleema also appealed to the new Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP) Yahya Afridi, warning that unchecked lawlessness could lead people to take matters into their own hands.
“Imran Khan’s life is at risk,” she claimed, emphasising that he remains steadfast in his demands for democracy and rule of law, with no intentions of seeking a deal.
“They have no plan to release him, so we must peacefully protest and use our constitutional rights,” she said.
