Pop Queen Adele shared an emotional moment with legendary Celine Dion during her Las Vegas residency show on Saturday night, after spotting the Canadian icon in the audience.

In a viral video, while singing “When We Were Young, Adele spotted Dion sitting in a side box at Caesars Palace. Stepping away from her set for a minute, Adele crossed the floor to reach Dion; both artists ultimately cried while embracing each other. Dion kissed Adele’s hand goodbye, grasping Adele’s face between her hands and stepping back into her seat, allowing Adele to continue singing.

This touching encounter marked another connection between the two at the storied venue. In 2018, Adele attended one of Dion’s shows during her second residency at the Colosseum and later shared her admiration in an Instagram post. “Queen Celine! What a show, an absolute highlight of my life,” Adele wrote, commending Dion’s attention to the crowd and humor, adding, “Happy New Year lady x.”

Dion, who was recovering from illness at the time, also expressed gratitude for Adele’s support, stating on social media, “I had a pretty rough time… but was thrilled that Adele came to one of [my shows]. I love her so much!”

Adele’s “Weekends With Adele” residency, which has drawn global attention, is set to conclude on Nov. 23.
