Kia Pakistan launched the first electric SUV vehicle, the EV5, at the Pakistan Auto Show 2024.
Available in two distinct variants, AIR and EARTH, the EV5 aims to offer a combination of advanced technology and eco-friendly performance to meet the rising demand for EVs in Pakistan.

The Kia EV5’s two variants are tailored to cater to different driving needs, delivering high performance and impressive range capabilities:
Motors and power
- AIR Variant: Equipped with a single motor, it generates 214 horsepower and 310 Nm of torque, providing an efficient and powerful front-wheel drive.
- EARTH Variant: Comes with dual motors (front and rear) for an all-wheel-drive experience, delivering 308 horsepower and 480 Nm of torque.
Maximum speed and battery range
Both the AIR and EARTH variants reach a maximum speed of 185 kilometers per hour.
- Battery Capacity:
- AIR: Features a 64.2 kWh battery, offering a range of up to 490 kilometers.
- EARTH: Equipped with an 88.1 kWh battery, providing an extended range of up to 620 kilometers.

Charging times and superfast charging
- Regular Charging:
- AIR: Takes 9 hours and 43 minutes for a full charge (10 per cent – 100 per cent) using a 6.6 kW single-phase charger, or 1 hour for a fast charge (10 per cent – 80 per cent) on a 50 kW charger.
- EARTH: Completes a full charge in 8 hours (10 per cent – 100 per cent) with an 11 kW three-phase charger, or in 1 hour and 12 minutes for a fast charge (10 per cent – 80 per cent) on a 50 kW charger.
- Superfast Charging: Both variants support ultra-fast 350 kW charging, allowing the battery to reach 100 per cent in just 36 minutes, a major convenience for EV owners.
