Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has officially announced that it will not vote in favor of the 26th constitutional amendment.
PTI Chairman Barrister Gohar declared after a meeting with Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam (JUI) Chief Maulana Fazlur Rahman.
During a media talk following the meeting, Barrister Gohar expressed gratitude towards Maulana Fazlur Rahman, acknowledging his patience and understanding during their discussions.

“We have reviewed the government’s draft today as well and make all decisions in consultation with the PTI founder,” said Gohar, adding that they valued Maulana’s role in the matter.
Gohar confirmed that while PTI will attend the parliamentary session to present its stance on the amendment, it will refrain from voting. He also highlighted the mutual respect between PTI and Maulana, noting that their relationship will continue to remain strong in the future.
