The Indian cricket team has been presented with another potential solution regarding their participation in the 2025 ICC Champions Trophy, which is set to take place in Pakistan.
Despite concerns raised by India over traveling to Pakistan, citing security risks, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has proposed several alternatives to facilitate India’s involvement in the tournament.

According to Indian media reports, the PCB has suggested that the Indian team could travel to Pakistan for their matches and then return to either Chandigarh or New Delhi for the remainder of the tournament. This option aims to address India’s security concerns while allowing the team to participate.
One of the proposals includes having the Indian team play their group stage matches in Lahore and Rawalpindi, with minimal internal travel within Pakistan. The PCB has offered to let the Indian team return to India immediately after each game, further easing travel worries.
The PCB has shown flexibility in its approach, but the final decision lies with the Indian government. As of now, neither the Indian government nor the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has made an official statement on the matter, leaving the situation unresolved.
However, the PCB continues its efforts to secure India’s participation in the tournament, which remains a high-profile international cricket event.
